JEE Main is the national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes — B.E./B.Tech at NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). The paper has 90 questions — 30 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject has 20 MCQs and 10 numerical value questions.
Each correct MCQ gives +4 marks and each incorrect MCQ gives −1 mark. Numerical value questions carry +4 for correct and no negative marking for wrong answers.
