Candidates must score at least 50% marks in each written paper: Mathematics (minimum 100 out of 200), English (minimum 62.5 out of 125), and General Knowledge (minimum 37.5 out of 75). Scoring below 50% in any single subject leads to immediate disqualification.

Prospectus and application forms are obtained directly from RIMC Dehradun via speed post by sending a demand draft. Filled applications must be submitted offline to the respective State Directorate of Education or State Public Service Commission (NOT directly to RIMC Dehradun).

The Mathematics paper is of 200 marks (90 minutes) and is descriptive. It consists of Part 1 (20 short questions, 65 marks) and Part 2 (10 long problems, 135 marks). Full step-by-step mathematical working is strictly assessed.
