The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is a computer-based entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission to undergraduate engineering (PCM group) and pharmacy (PCB group) programmes in colleges across Maharashtra. It replaced the former JEE-Main based admission system for state engineering colleges.

150 questions, 200 marks, 180 minutes. Physics and Chemistry carry 1 mark per question, Mathematics 2 marks per question — and there is no negative marking.

All questions are multiple-choice with four options. The first 90 minutes cover Physics and Chemistry, and the next 90 minutes cover Mathematics. Papers are available in English, Marathi and Urdu.

No — the compiled papers are clearly marked as \u201cCompiled / Memory-based\u201d. They are reconstructions and are the closest available practice for the real MHT-CET pattern. The Official section (brochure + syllabus) contains only genuine CET Cell documents.

What is the MHT-CET PCM exam pattern?

The MHT-CET PCM group has 150 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks in 180 minutes: Physics 50 (1 mark each), Chemistry 50 (1 mark each) and Mathematics 50 (2 marks each). The first 90 minutes cover Physics and Chemistry, and the next 90 minutes cover Mathematics.

Is there negative marking in MHT-CET?

No. There is no negative marking in MHT-CET — every correct answer earns full marks and unanswered or wrong answers carry no penalty.
