✅ Use Blue or Black Ballpoint Pen Only

Circles must be darkened completely and evenly using a standard blue or black ballpoint pen. Gel pens and fountain pens can bleed through the thin optical scanning paper and cause automated disqualification.

❌ No Whitener, Eraser, or Blade Scraping

Strictly prohibited by NTA. The optical scanner reads paper surface density; scratching with a blade or applying white correction fluid damages the sheet and renders the entire OMR page void.

📌 Section B: First 10 Attempted Evaluated

Section B contains 15 questions per subject. You are permitted to attempt only 10. If you bubble 11 or more questions, NTA algorithms automatically evaluate the first 10 sequentially bubbled items and discard the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - NEET 2026 OMR Sheet

The official NTA NEET UG OMR sheet contains 200 questions divided equally into 4 subjects: Physics (Q1–50), Chemistry (Q51–100), Botany (Q101–150), and Zoology (Q151–200). Each subject has two sections: Section A (35 mandatory questions) and Section B (15 questions, out of which you must attempt any 10). The maximum score is 720 marks for 180 attempted questions.
According to official NTA NEET UG evaluation guidelines, if a candidate attempts more than 10 questions in Section B of any subject, only the first 10 attempted questions (in numerical order) will be evaluated. Any subsequent questions bubbled beyond the first 10 will be completely ignored and will not earn or lose marks.
Candidates must use only a Black or Blue Ballpoint Pen to darken the circles and write their details on the NEET OMR sheet. Gel pens, fountain pens, pencils, sketch pens, and whiteners/correction fluids are strictly forbidden and can cause the optical scanner to reject the answer sheet.
