NMC introduced a dedicated unit on Experimental Physics (Screw gauge, Vernier caliper, resonance tube, diode curve) and Practical Chemistry (qualitative salt analysis, titrations). Expect 4 to 6 direct questions in Section A & B from these laboratory techniques.

In Biology, Earthworm has been pruned and **Frog** morphology, anatomy and organ systems have been made central. Additionally, master the 5 plant families: Malvaceae, Cruciferae, Compositae, Gramineae, and Leguminosae.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) completely removed 10 full chapters from the NEET UG syllabus: In Chemistry: States of Matter, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Surface Chemistry, Metallurgy (Isolation of Elements), Polymers, and Chemistry in Everyday Life. In Biology: Transport in Plants, Mineral Nutrition, Digestion and Absorption, Reproduction in Organisms, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production, and Environmental Issues. Students should strictly skip these units.
No. Both Transistors (junction transistors, transistor as switch/amplifier/oscillator) and Logic Gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR truth tables) have been 100% removed from the Semiconductor and Electronic Devices unit for NEET 2026. However, semiconductor diodes, p-n junction characteristics, half-wave and full-wave rectifiers, solar cells, LEDs, and photodiodes remain fully in syllabus.
Yes. Potentiometer (comparison of EMF and internal resistance measurement) and Resistor Colour Codes have been deleted by NMC. In their place, NMC has emphasized experimental skills: verification of Ohm’s law, meter bridge for resistance measurement, and half-deflection method for galvanometer internal resistance.
NMC explicitly added two major high-priority sections in Biology: (1) Morphology and anatomy of FROG (while Earthworm has been removed), and (2) Detailed descriptions of additional plant families: Malvaceae, Cruciferae/Brassicaceae, Compositae/Asteraceae, and Gramineae/Poaceae alongside Leguminosae. Dengue and Chikungunya were also added to Human Health and Disease.
You should use the New NCERT textbook as your primary guide because all deleted chapters have been pruned from it.
